Why won't Laybuy accept my order?

We are currently offering Laybuy as a payment method in selected regions and we are sorry if you have experienced some issues whilst trying to place your order.

It can be subject to eligibility based on criteria set by the Laybuy team and on this occasion it may be that you did not meet the criteria.

Please spend responsibly. Borrowing more than you can afford could seriously affect your financial status. Make sure you can afford your monthly repayments on time.

How do I use Laybuy?

Just shop on our website and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Laybuy as your payment method. You will be directed to the Laybuy website to register and provide payment details (Visa or Mastercard). If you’ve used Laybuy before, just log in to your Laybuy account.

Please note, Laybuy is only available to customers over 18 years old with a UK bank account and UK billing address. Customers with an international billing address will not be able to create a Laybuy account.

Please note that Laybuy are an independent payment company and Truly Personal Ltd have no influence over whether your payment with Laybuy is accepted or not. If you have any trouble with your order, please contact Laybuy Customer Service.

How does the Laybuy payment schedule work?

You make the first payment at the time of purchase, the remaining five payments are then deducted every week automatically from your selected payment method. If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, log in to Laybuy to make your payments early. Laybuy will then adjust the amount owed accordingly. You can log in to your Laybuy account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

What if I can’t pay a Laybuy instalment?

When a payment for an instalment fails, Laybuy send you an email to let you know straight away that this has failed. The payment will then be attempted again 24 hours later and if this fails a late fee is applied. If this instalment remains unpaid for a further 7 days, another fee will be applied. To ensure you don't get into too much trouble, Laybuy will not allow you to make a new purchase until your declined payments (instalments and late fees), are all paid. Can I use another form of payment with Laybuy?

Yes, you may also use a gift card or promotional code with Laybuy to pay for your purchase.

How do I return an item purchased with Laybuy?

As soon as Truly Personal Ltd have accepted your cancellation/return, Laybuy will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts due. The return will be reflected in the Laybuy app immediately.
